With more than 30 years of experience as a dedicated student, teacher, and mentor of yoga, Gena Foreman brings a thoughtful, accessible, and deeply informed approach to her teaching. Her classes blend conscious, alignment-focused yoga postures with breathwork (pranayama), mindful awareness, and healthy energetic alignment.

Gena believes yoga is not a one-size-fits-all practice. Her clear and compassionate teaching style emphasizes individual needs, offering thoughtful modifications to support injuries, different bodies, and varying levels of experience. Students are encouraged to explore the many ways a pose can be experienced and embodied.

Over the years, Gena has taught in studios throughout the region and has worked with corporations, professional athletes, marginalized youth, and individuals in addiction recovery. She currently serves as Lead Instructor at Dignity Health’s Multiple Sclerosis Achievement Center.

In addition to teaching regular classes, Gena facilitates retreats, workshops, Yoga Nidra certification programs, and Yoga Alliance–approved 200-hour teacher trainings.

She is an E-RYT 500 Yoga Alliance–certified instructor, with additional certifications in Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra, Mindful Yoga Therapy, The Art of Yoga Project, Ellen Heed Anatomy, and Mindful Meditation.

Gena also offers private sessions tailored to individual goals, including yoga alignment and asana, Yoga Nidra, nervous system regulation through breathwork, and meditation.

Recognized as one of the Best Yoga Teachers by Style Magazine for the Folsom and El Dorado Hills area, Gena is passionate about creating a welcoming practice where students can develop greater awareness, resilience, and connection.

When she’s not teaching, Gena enjoys hiking, traveling, and spending time with her family.
