Gena Foreman Yoga
Gena Foreman has over 25 years experience as a student, teacher and mentor. Her classes are a balanced fusion of informed, conscious yoga postures with attention to breath (pranayama) and healthy energetic alignment. Her instructions are clear and concise, offering modifications to address injuries or the special needs of her students. Throughout her classes students learn yoga is not a “one size fits all practice” and that there is more than one way to be in a pose.
Gena has experience teaching at numerous yoga studios in the local area, as well as working with corporations, professional athletes, incarcerated and marginalized youth, addiction recovery, and is currently on staff with Dignity Health as the lead instructor with the Multiple Sclerosis Achievement Center. In addition to teaching classes, Gena leads retreats, workshops, Yoga Nidra certification courses, and 200 hour Yoga Alliance approved Teacher Trainings.
Gena is ERYT-500 Yoga Alliance certified, and has completed certification in Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra, Mindful Yoga Therapy, The Art of Yoga Project, Ellen Heed anatomy, and Mindful Meditation.
She offers private sessions on yoga alignment and yoga asana, yoga nidra, regulating the nervous system with breath work, and meditation.
She was voted one of the best yoga teacher's by Style Magazine for the Folsom and El Dorado Hills area.
Aside from teaching yoga, Gena enjoys hiking, traveling, and spending time with family.
