Amorgos Greece Yoga Retreat
October 5 - 12, 2026

Gena Foreman brings over 30 years of experience as a dedicated student, teacher, and mentor of yoga. Her classes offer a balanced and thoughtful fusion of conscious, informed yoga postures with focused attention on breath (pranayama) and healthy energetic alignment. Gena’s teaching style is clear, concise, and accessible, with thoughtful modifications to support injuries and the individual needs of each student. Throughout her classes, students learn that yoga is not a “one-size-fits-all” practice, and that there are many ways to experience and embody a pose.

Gena has taught at numerous yoga studios throughout the local area and has extensive experience working with corporations, professional athletes, marginalized youth, and individuals in addiction recovery. She is currently on staff with Dignity Health as the Lead Instructor at the Multiple Sclerosis Achievement Center. In addition to regular classes, Gena facilitates retreats, workshops, Yoga Nidra certification programs, and 200-hour Yoga Alliance–approved teacher trainings.

Gena is an E-RYT 500 Yoga Alliance–certified instructor and holds additional certifications in Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra, Mindful Yoga Therapy, The Art of Yoga Project, Ellen Heed Anatomy, and Mindful Meditation.

She offers private sessions focused on yoga alignment and asana, Yoga Nidra, nervous system regulation through breathwork, and meditation.

Gena was voted one of the Best Yoga Teachers by Style Magazine for the Folsom and El Dorado Hills area.

Outside of teaching, Gena enjoys hiking, traveling, and spending time with her family.
